Xanadu Forest Queen For A Day

Our illustrious gatekeeper has been chosen as Queen of the Xanadu Forest's annual "Queen Of The Day" celebration.
Of all the lovely forest dwellers entered, and unbeknownst to her, she was selected for this honor.

Eddie The Peacock has come over to read the Royal Decree and bestow The Royal Crown upon her feathered head. Raven tries to put up a fuss and act as if it's not such a big deal as she steps aboard The Royal Coach (don't be fooled! She's loving every second of it) Raven's Royal Decree for the day, is that all music played throughout the forest shall be Led Zeppelin and The Yardbirds.

After the small ceremony, it's time for the Queen's Parade through the forest to The Royal Pub for dinner and music. The Royal Coach is pulled by the elusive forest dragons Justin and Douglas. The forest faeries have lined her path with faerie dust which leaves a rainbow trail as the coach rolls over it. There is a marching band made up of forest dwellers led by Andrew who's in full regalia as they play Led Zeppelin songs along the parade route. All the forest inhabitants are lined up, waving and adoring her as she passes by. Raven gives royal wing waves and nods to her loyal subjects.

As she arrives at The Royal Pub, music is wafting thru the air and she is escorted to the head of the royal table and clears her throat and says "As Queen for the day, I decree we PAAARTTAY"

Everyone eats, drinks and bee's merry for the evening!

Garden Update

Styve, Dutchess, Leo, Cousin Eddie and Casey are all playing Stratego .... Leo has next and Casey has just reported into Raven on his Hello Kitty walkie talkie, that the perimeter is secure as he awaits his turn. Styve has most wins so far.

You and Andrew are playing Tecmo Bowl with Freddie The Frog and having a cold one on the Persian rug ... I hear lots of laughter and *sings* Shooouting!

Not a peep from the little atomics, which is good, as they were screwing around and up too late last night.

Raven and Mr. Raven are sitting down to a nice pasta dinner with wine (set up like Lady And The Tramp) with Ravenspeak playing softly in the background.

Oread is hanging out in one of the trees just watching all the nights activities, with a stretch and a yawn.

Princess Mydnite is lounging in her tanning bed oogling over her new logo artwork by Raven and looking all giddy as she strolls thru twitter on her iPhone.

I'm sitting up in the royal bed reflecting on the day and how lucky I am to have you all here with me. I also have my Song Book out tooling with Fame Flame and another new song I've been jotting some words down for... I call over to the Persian rug "beer me" and Andrew tosses a cold one my way and sings Toooouch Doooown Baaabay! When I catch it.

Today was a good day.

Garden Business As Usual

Raven is very busy catching up on today's to do list after waking up so late haha ... Leo is happily by her side, they both have pixie stick dust all over them! Must have been some good tweets! :P

The little ones are sleeping ... Although I'm sure I hear giggling from Magpies nest.

Casey is making his rounds and just finished a sweep of The Pond Of Fanciness.

Cousin Eddie is working in the garage and listening to tunes.

There was a sticky note on my pillow on the royal bed from Andrew that said "Please come to the Persian rug for your personal gig "The Strawberry Jam" and it had a little strawberry drawn on it. He was all dolled up and sang "Until The Ocean" for me 😋 Gave me a hug and said "goodnight kid, keep looking up to your shine and the heart shaped moon ... Ps give Kev a peck on the cheek for me" winked and strolled off toward the Royal Pub. I could see fairy dust for miles in his wake!

I'm gazing at the stars from the royal bed now, with Styve and Dutchess at my side as "what's gonna happen tomorrow" plays in my head and I pretend to move the stars around to make pictures of us out of them, like in the Duran Duran music vid.

Today was a good day. The garden is happy.

Grand Opening of The Heartshine Sisters' Vinyl Emporium

All The Sacred Garden and Xanadu Forest inhabitants are all anxiously awaiting for the door to open to the new HeartShine Sisters Vinyl Emporium. Andrew is working the crowd with a wave of fainting Faeries in his path.

Stargazer appears in the store window to put out a pair of fabulous faerie crafted MotherLoveBoots as her eyes twinkle with excitement as she puts up the 'Open For Business Sign'.

Everyone claps their hands, paws and wings as Andrew says "I give this establishment my blessing from Olympus and bestow upon you heartshine and the glow of the garden" cuts the ribbon and says "Now lets party!"

Clare and Stargazer look beautiful as we all walk in, wine and treats set out for all to enjoy. everyone's eyes aglow taking in all the glorious standard and very rare vinyl records, as the new Sound Garden wafts through the store.

The Faeries fly upstairs, with Eddie The Peacock not far behind them, to look at all the hand crafted MotherLoveBoots. There is lots of ooohhhs, aaaahhhhhs and I gotta have those!

Raven flys straight to the Led Zeppelin section to finger through the groovy goodness with glee as Leo heads to the Bowie section.

Andrew is in a listening station with headphones on with Casey upon his shoulder rocking out to himself of course haha! He is quite pleased that all Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone material is available to check out! I saw him draw Clare and Stargazer close and whisper something to them before he donned the headphones. They both had to hold each other up from fainting as he walked away LOL! Andrew just grinned and winked at me, very pleased with himself.

Oread and Mary are showing Butterfly, Magpie and Dutchess all the TNT and Marc Bolin/T-Rex vinyl. Oread looks fab with her black boa and star shaped sunglasses on.

Kev is very happy to see Atomic Honey is carried in the store and joins Leo to check out the Bowie items with Styve by his side.

Dutchess and I flock over to the Duran Duran section of course. So much Duranaliaciousness I can hardly contain myself!

The grand opening is a huge success and enjoyed by all! I have a feeling Andrew, Kev and Raven will be spending copious amounts of time there!

As everyone starts to make their way home with lots of goodies and smiles .... I see Andrew invite Clare and Stargazer to join us for a celebratory beer at The Sacred Pub (of course they say yes hehe)

The Garden Prepares for the Holidays

I think Casey had the munchies after getting bombed at the Sacred Pub .... He's stumbling around on the Persian rug with glitter on his beak and telling Andrew "See you're not the only one who spar- *hickup* sparkles around here".

Edwin is giggling at this scene haha :'-)

I also found little bird prints and glitter on the royal bed .... I think Raven was snooping to see what her surprise is .... Sneaky bird! Good thing there is plenty of glitter in the garden, due to the holidays! Totally busted!

Styve, Dutchess and Leo are enjoying ice skating on the glowing pond of fanciness and the little atomics are covered in honey and glitter popcorn hmmmmmm

We are sitting up in the royal bed and you're playing your guitar for me and singing. Oread is perched up in the tree beside the river and oh my haha!! Andrew just dumped a bucket of gold glitter all over his head and said "I AM LANDREW THE LOVE CHILD WATCH ME SPARKLE" LOL!!! The who-shines-brighter contest is ON!

Cousin Eddie has escaped into the garage as he cracks open a cold one.

Raven wants to laugh, but she remains stoic.

The Gatekeeper's Birthday

A very big day in The Sacred Garden!! It's are lovely gate keepers birthday! The day has been very quiet and uneventful as I have been quietly setting up for the evenings festivities. The fairies have been kind enough to help me string up the twinkle lights (really they are just hoping for a glimpse of our Sweet Andrew) and I've set up a table of goodies including wine, fresh fruits, cheeses from around the world, assorted crackers and an olive and pickle platter. I have made a small birdseed and honey cake and put those number candles on it for 29 (as she is turning 29 again) Raven pretends not to notice as she updates the gate log and plucks away on her laptop, earbuds a blazin with Zepp!

As twilight assends upon the garden everyone gathers for the festivities, ahhh the garden looks fabulous! I've hired The Library Faerie, Talulah to play Led Zepplin songs on the harp as background music. We all sing happy birthday to our cherished Raven and now it's time for the presentation of gifts!

Leo goes first and barks and howls the guitar solo from 'Stairway To Heaven' (Styve taught him this trick)

Cousin Eddie has made her a crown out of bear cans, it's quite lovely and intricate.

Andrew has given her a Warrant CD with a smile and a wink.

Princess Mydnite has given her an ankle bracelet made from glitterstone mined from Gliridescitas's heart shaped moon.

Dutchess, Atomic Magpie and Atomic Butterfly have made her a handmade paper journal for poetry and flower pressing (of which they have already pressed several flowers from the garden and included them)

Styve has presented her with a poem he wrote and reads it to her:

"Black winged warrior swoops down

Steely eyes that cut like an axe for battle,

Born again, another 29th season

Her power makes us all feel mighty.

Happy conquering of mother time, O lovely keeper!" [Styve is notorious for his "interesting" poetic style, he really does try hard and it's from the heart. Remember he spent several hundred years as a warrior]

Atomic Mongoose and Atomic Weasel have given her a piece of wood they found in the Xanadu forest and carved her name in it, so she can lean it up against the base of her birdbath.

Casey gave her his golden stilettos, as he no longer needs them.

Kev has presented her with a beautiful braided necklace he's made out of one of Jimmy Pages old guitar strings.

And I myself has given her Beats earbuds and blue, purple, pink and chartreuse feathers she can wear amongst her own for nights out on the town.

Raven seemed a glow and overwhelmed and said "You Shouldn't Have" But she loved every minute of it!

Mydnite has just floated across the garden and into her tanning bed. I think she likes to do the whole floating thing for effect haha (not sure where she just came from, but the leather get-up she was in was awesome)
The kids are all asleep, I hear the magpie humming.
Raven is up and doodling around with graphic arts things. Casey is engrossed in his 'Electronics For Dummies' book (he still has not plugged his earbuds into anything) while Uncle Eddie is fiddling with something and sipping a cold one. Me and Styve and Dutchess are all laying on the "Royal Bed" on our backs playing with the controllers and star gazing (giggling too) Edwin is making that annoyed sound again under his breath as he pulls his little curtain I made for his lotus shut out of the special fabric from Gliridescita ( it is like a round shower curtain rod that he can enclose himself in haha) He was quite excited when I gave it to him and had Eddie install it straight away. No sign of Andrew, I think he may be at the Sacred Pub if the forest chatting up some fairies. Good luck getting Styve and Durchess off the bed when you come home to cuddle up with me, even tho I already told them the rules!! Styve snores btw! Hurry home! I miss you and look forward to your embrace. I love you xcxc

Yes the poor fairies haha. I hope they don't start fighting over him! Sounds like the three of you could be pullin an alnighter soon, oh dear! Mydnite telepathically just told me to look under my pillow.... Oh you should see what she has left for us!!! I love you xcxc What she left us ... Glow with the color of our aura when warn and have a warmth to them against the skin, they are the softest and silkiest material I've ever felt.

Introduction To The Sacred Garden

The Sacred Garden came to be from a very dark period in Atomic Honeyland. An evening of lost light, love and soul searching to find my way home. Kev, my saviour, soulmate, light, love of my life and best friend, took me by the hand and guided me back to light and his love, which brought me back home to my heart, which is The Sacred Garden. We spent the evening in the garden with it's special inhabitants until the sun came over the horizon and I felt safe and warm once again in Kev's loving embrace. Let me introduce you to The Sacred Garden and it's precious inhabitants.

Edwin The Bee, the garden and Atomic Honey's official mascot is a very spiritual bee here to teach us love and lessons needed to be learned. Kev and Edwin have a very special relationship and always seem to be philosophizing about important matters *chuckling* Edwin is almost always found meditating upon his favorite lotus flower in the garden. Although Edwin is a very serious bee, he can be quite silly and fun if the mood strikes him.

Kev is the epitome of Atomic Honey! Love, light, friendship, fans and music that transcends time and space. If you looked up nerd in the dictionary, you'll find Kev's name next to it *giggling* He loves Star Wars and the amount of Star Wars toys and crap he has is absurd and ridiculous!! Battlestar Galactica is also a FAVORITE! He used to make the Colonial Viper from the show out of pillows in his bed at night and save the girl, too cute! *softly giggling* Kev has a beautiful and candescent soul and a heartshine even the gods of Olympus envy. He is destined for greatness, yet has a very hard time embracing his destiny. Kev is a lover of music, movies, beer, himself *totally giggling* twitter rants and of course me Princess Mydnite. By the way....Kev is one talented mofo!!!! oh yes....AND WORSE THAN A DAMN GIRL!

Princess Mydnite (who is also Twillerbee) is a Glampire from the Planet Gliridesceta, and has come to earth to be with her beloved Kev and to have him by her side for eternity. She is a stunning creature, who with just one glance can have you at her knees begging for liquid sex and wishing you had glitter blood to offer her. She is learning she is a poet, song writer (lyrics), twitter addict, loves all things Disney and lover of all things 80's hehehe Especially the music, Duran Duran and Simon LeBon. She struggles with the fact she must turn Kev into a Glampire, but knows it has been prophesied by her people that they are to start a new race here on earth of Glampires for which they can feed. So don't be alarmed if her fangs start to get glittery and she starts gazing at Kev's neck longingly! FYI Mydnite can have a doosey of a temper, so best to stay on her good side and away from those fangs *snickering softly* V'''V PS.... Mydnite's story is vast and very complicated....You will need to stay tuned!

Raven is the lovely, talented and groovy keeper of our garden gate. If you want past the proverbial "Red Ropes" to enter the garden and visit, I suggest you bring gifts of music and homemade chocolate chip cookies, still no guarentees! She can almost always be found upon her birdbath, laptop open, tiny earbuds in blasting Led Zeppelin and happily pecking away blogging and tweeting musical groovy goodness. She has a weakness for Jimmy Page and David Bowie *smiling to myself as she swoons* Having her call you a friend is an exceptional honor and not to be foolishy wasted. Her blank stare is famous and has been known to pierce the hearts of gods. She is also a very talented bird, who has trouble embracing her greatness. Her beautiful soul and heart shines so brightly, you can see it from space. Her faithful dog Leo is often by her side. He is a silly, loving and surprisingly card loving playing dog. He enjoys watching the little atomics and hearing their laughter.

Dutchess and Styvendrake (we call him Styve) are royal wolves from the Planet Gliridesceta and the last of their kind, sent by Princess Mydnite to watch over and protect Kev until her arrival. Dutchess and Styve are almost always with the little atomics taking them on adventures in the garden and doing ridiculous and silly things that annoy Edwin. Their story is also very complicated....Stay tuned for more!

Let me introduce you to The Little Atomics who grace the garden from time to time.....

The Atomic Weasel, Kev's son, always seems to have a shovel handy and randomly digs holes in the garden (Edwin grrrrr's over this) He follows The Atomic Mongoose EVERYWHERE asking questions about everything. He is a lover of Star Wars (hmmm what a surprise), cartoons, bike riding, legos and video games. He is a very sweet and smart boy wonder.

The Atomic Butterfly, Kev's daughter, is a very cute and flittery little thing in the garden. Very girly and all tomboy! She loves to color, play with barbies, have makeup parties and hang out with Dutchess and The Atomic Magpie under the hammock in the garden. For a sweet little butterfly, this one's got a wicked temper..you have been warned! But she has an old soul and the things she says sometimes blow everyone away :)

The Atomic Mongoose, Twillerbee's son, is the official landscaper and snake killer of the garden. The Atomic Weasel and he are often heard discussing Modern Warfare 2 stratagies for the Xbox 360 as they putz around the garden. The Atomic Mongoose loves sports, talking and video games..oh did I say talking *laughing and making the talking motion with my hand* He follows Styve everywhere wanting to hear battle stories of his past. Very loving and emotional child.

The Atomic Magpie, Twillerbee's daughter, is as girly girl, princess, drama and glittery as they come! She is very smart and adores shiny things! You should see all the bling she's got up in her nest! Everyone in the garden knows to hide all shiny things or poof, Magpie swoops in for the grab! She adores Dutchess and Raven to a fault LOL She loves all things Disney, dancing, singing, SIMS3, video games and drawing. Drama queen to the max, but as sweet as can be.

And last, but oh so certainly not least, Casey The Cardinal is a very special bird in the garden, who was gifted to us from Andrew Wood when he stopped by the garden for a visit, but thats another story ;) He is actually a god from Olympus in disguise: Janus (keeper of the gate to Olympus) He and Raven are very close and get along famously. Casey is quite the character and has been given a remote control toy army jeep from The Atomic Mongoose, of which Casey sits in the drivers seat with the remote control and drives himself around the garden. You will hear more about his silliness in time! Edwin has no part of this and thinks a god from Olympus acting in such a way is preposterous!

Yes we realize here in Atomic Honeyland that these are not real stories, but it is a very real and sacred place. I hope you have enjoyed your introduction into The Sacred Garden and will come back often for Garden Updates :)
